The Five Rivers Resource Conservation & Development, Inc. will be conducting household hazardous waste collections in Nebraska City, Syracuse, Auburn, Falls City, Humboldt, Pawnee City, Tecumseh, Fairbury, and Crete with financial assistance from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality Waste Reduction & Recycling Program and other assistance provided by the Nemaha NRD, Lower Big Blue NRD, and Jefferson, Otoe, Nemaha, Johnson, Pawnee, Richardson, Saline Counties.

Items which will be accepted include old paint, pesticides and herbicides, cleaning chemicals, fluorescent light bulbs, antifreeze, yard and garden chemicals. NO tires, electronic equipment, appliances, PCBs, Picric Acid, Science Lab materials, radioactive materials or biological hazards.
There is no charge and only household quantities will be accepted. Financing was provided through the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality.
